I... lost a fic

Dec 03, 2009 00:57

Ever since I did that picture of a titanium moosebot looming over Dead End, I've been working on a fanfic that's evolved from that snapshot into a full blown story. And I lost it, deleted somehow. What's worse is that the reason I discovered it was gone, I was backing up my files and I couldn't find it. *sigh* I think I spent over two and a half ( Read more... )

Ouch, my condolences about the fic--I've only lost bits and pieces (mainly because I couldn't remember if I dreamed typing them or not), but what happened to you sounds painful. *throws moosebot a treat from a safe distance to cheer it up (since it's never safe to pet wild animals)*

I...don't use phones much anyway, but I can't envision not having my cell. All I use it for is calling in/answering out (mostly for notifying of plan changes/ect), since I'm not much of a casual talker, but it's still not something I'd go without before I leave the house.

Yay, snow! We don't get snow here (there is snow in CA, just not where I live), so good on you!

...uh, I'm not much help on the weight thing--no matter what, I'm overweight for my height (I'm five-foot-nothing), and I'd rather not give up eating. But, here's to you de-stressing and getting more than a few bites in!

*mesmerized by the shiny* Ooo...glowy...

Thanks, losing it really killed the muses for a while. But I think I'm back.

Oh Primus, I've had the phone this long?! I still haven't programmed numbers into it.

We got about seven inches of snow dumped on us about a week later. It was really brutal trying to navigate the roads, and I went off the road for the second time in my life rather epically. Fishtailed, spun 180 degrees and slid perfectly sideways into the ditch. So perfectly that there were no tire tracks even remotely forward or back for me to use to get out. Personally, I have a hard time imagining living where there's no snow.

I have gained my weight back, thanks for the well wishes. Almost didn't bother posting that bit of news but you almost never see people complaining about how they need to gain weight, I thought I'd shake things up a bit.

*sniggers* I got a lot of oooos for this. *is ridiculously amused*

Totally understandable. chopperaerials December 27 2009, 08:23:19 UTC
Yay, you're back! Here's hoping the muses live and stick around in a good way for a good long time. On an unrelated note, have you seen Avatar yet ( ... )

Yes I have, it's a good movie. My town even had the chance to see it one day ahead of everyone else but I missed the opportunity.

My speed was just over 30mph so nothing too terrible could have happened, no hills and the road was clear of other vehicles. I was more annoyed that I was stuck fast than strung out about what put me there. Living where there's lots of snow is also the reason I've got some cold weather OCs, I'm influenced by where I live when it comes to some of them.

Thanks, and it's not so easy to gain weight for some people, much like loosing it is for others. Depending on the person, one or two meals a day can help when you're trying to get some weight, your body thinks there's not much food available and so packs it on. But it's not a wise strategy, as it stresses the body too.
