Today's the election run off here in New Orleans. We'll see which of the low-key bald Democrats known for their cross racial appeal will be mayor. Also other stuff; like if a corrupt incumbant city councilman will succeed fooling folks again with great gobs of money spent on ads explaining how he's the candidate of change ( Read more... )

Well, Clarkson is out on her ass, anyway. Maybe now the musicians and tarot readers can live in peace, and we can have bum-proof benches.

I watched the run off debate between Landrieu and Nagin friday. My predictions would normally be a Landrieu win but since it's N'awlins, anything is possible. Nothing in the world is more entertaining that Louisiana politics!

Yeah. If I'd had to guess in advance, I would have predicted 51% for Landrieu. Some poll last week predicted him by 10%, but all the post-K polls have had huge and unpredictable margins of error, as they're largely based on who can be contacted by pre-K phone numbers ( ... )
