This fic: sadly doesn't involve my epic theory that River is actually the TARDIS. It started out as another IN SPAAAACE drabble, but the main characters refused to be confined to a hundred words.

Fandom: Doctor Who (River Song, Doctors One through Ten)
Genre: G, gen, slice-of-life
Summary: On time, space, serendipity, and the importance of a good ( Read more... )

Very nicely done. I especially love how this line -- Worlds later, she pulled a blanket about his shoulders as he sat huddled on a damp stone, shivering violently and smelling of something that was still burning in another part of the universe; but his mind and memory were far away, and he never knew she'd been there. -- is so delicate.

Absolutely gorgeous, and with a wonderfully devastating final line.

Oooo . . . awesome idea, and alternately funny and poignant by turns. I wish I new more about the older Doctors; I imagine I would get more out of this if I did ( ... )

Sorry for late reply... but thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the story. My favorite oldskool Doctors are Two, Three, and Six, but your mileage may vary; each one has something going for him ('cos he's the Doctor~). If you do get into oldskool, have fun! :)

Heee, that idea about Kingston's shoes is going in my headcanon right now!<3 *might draw that, hmm* It'd be awesome for that to be true.

Awww! *blushes* I really do have this mental image of River keeping an eye on all the Doctors, from afar if not up close, and not being able to keep her distance during/after the Time War, even though she knows he chronologically hasn't been introduced to her yet. And yeah. Her last episode was wrenching too. ;; I didn't even mean it to get that dark, but the ending just landed there and wouldn't budge. Glad the fic worked for you; thank you so much for your thoughtful review!

Oh, I like this! :)

She did say that she had illustrations of all the Doctors, not that she had met all of them. :)

Thanks! :D

*nods* True; I figured if she technically didn't meet them, she could have encountered them or their works in various ways.~ Personal canon is a lovely thing. :D
