Missed picspamming Flesh and Stone -- might later on when my next fic is done (which will hopefully be this week: I don't wanna have to watch Journey's End for reference again any time soon!). For now, though, Vampires of Venice!

Spoilers owe Casanova a chicken. )

This Doctor and this companion can interact without tiptoeing around trying not to set each other off. COMMUNICATION. IT IS A GOOD THING.
This! Eleven is so much more blunt than Ten, and Amy... Amy knows how to wield a cricket bat. :)
"You can't go back and change time. You mourn, but you live. I know, Roseanna; I did it." That line, I think, is as important as the Doctor and Amy's hug at the end of The Beast Below; after a few more episodes, it's finally sinking in.
*nods* I adored Ten, but I'm happy that Eleven is able to move on.
And now, the important bit: RORY'S STAYING! EEEEEE!~
I love that the Doctor refuses to turn it into a triangle. Esp. talking about going back to 2010 for the wedding and "I could give you away". It makes me love him even more. :)

Heeee, yes. He might even be more blunt than Nine, but in a very non-blunt way, if that makes any sense. And Amy's just made of pragmatic awesome.

I spent the whole era wishing the writers would let up on him. ;; He was brilliant; but he could have been less completely devastated by everything without it detracting from his character.

Zomg THIS!~ He's not threatened by her having other important people in her life or other relationships as or more significant than the one she has with him. It's brilliant. And Eleven is just made of fluff and squee. :D

Oh yes. I mean, I can understand why they went there (and am very impressed that they did), but they *broke* the Doctor, and that makes me sad. ::hugs poor Ten::

I've got meta thoughts gathering in my head, I just need some time to write it all down... :)

(I actually did not watch VoV till the season had finished airing, because I got a bit behind and then I was spoiled for Rory!death two weeks running, so I decided not to watch any more till I knew if Rory stayed dead so I'd know whether to get emotionally attached to him or not. *g* Because I had a general premonition that HE WAS GOING TO BE AWESOME.)
Of course, he could still get killed permanently, but now he is married to Amy, and the Moff has a thing for paired-off happy endings, so he's a bit safer. Hopefully.

Two to one he gets 'killed' again in the end of this two-parter (and it had better also be temporary). This season's been ridiculous.
