Aw, I like Mel, too. Her leaving scene is gorgeous, and I couldn't help but like her the moment she ruefully says she's "about as honest and boring as they come." Aw.
Mind you, 10. sounds more awesome than it is, because in actual fact she left to reform a Space equivalent of Del Boy, and what Mel and Glitz are going to do together is one of those things that makes the mind boggle in all directions. :lol:

Shooting the crab thing in "Paradise Towers" was where I became a shame-free Mel fan. I love that she's so into ~adventuring. As much as I like Peri, it's refreshing to have a companion that really wants to be there. And like you mentioned, the part in "The Juggernauts" where she not only makes a new life but makes a new awesome life and get promoted all over the place made me cheer.
Have you read my mind, woman? Mel & Six are one of my favorite Doctor-companion pairs, (see: BFA's The One Doctor), and it's a pity they didn't get more screen time.
However, "Carrot Juice? Are you insane??" got a squee from me the minute I heard it. <3
MEL! :D I've heard The Juggernauts (& I SHOULD finish Thicker Than Water), LOVED IT, & seen Dragonfire, which I also loved. Mel has a GREAT scream, I don't care what the haters say. So yes, I really do like her, though I know so little of her. I'd really like to see Delta and the Bannermen because it's a Seven story & because her outfit looks GREAT in it, but I'm a bit nervous to, as I don't know whether I'll like it or not. :( I'm also really excited that Time and the Rani is one of the next scheduled DVD releases - Seven, the Rani AND Mel? YAY!
Also, you've made Mel sound like me - perky & sunny. I've been called perky so many times in life. :P
