HI REMEMBER ME? You probably don't, I think, but I was the one who wrote that on Pein/Konan fic before Konan's name was even released. Funny to identify myself that way, I'm not even into Naruto anymore...
Things have been going well, better than they were when I last saw you. Still RPing a little, I'm writing a ton more and actually working on original novels rather than fanfiction now, and my fandoms have shifted; I'm into the more older series now like Revolutionary girl Utena (1997) or Rose of Versailles (1980), I've gone from liking yaoi to loving yuri, I'm a regular eroge addict now...
I'm also a lot mentally better than I was. Issues got cleared up, self-esteem is pretty up there, ect... So, life has been going good.
LOL of course I remember you! We RPed together at LSG for so long, right?
That's great to hear. :) I'm not in any fandom/watching anything new, but I write fanfic whenever I feel the tug and it's good practice for trying out new styles. I'm also in the midst of my first original novel and the prospect of writing it is really intimidating, but hopefully I'll pull it off in a couple of years. :D
That is wonderful to hear. I'm really happy for you. ♥
Oh, LSG...that was a long time ago. I'm not so focused on playing series' characters anymore so much as my own OCs.
Ooh~ that's great that you're trying your hand at writing original work! I struggled for the longest time with it. (The sites nanowrimo.org and writeordie.drwicked.com might help you, especially the latter).
I'm glad to hear from you though. I was wondering what happened!
Thanks for the links! And yeah, it's really daunting but I guess it's something you just have to force yourself through. Like, write a rough draft of absolute shit without focusing too hard on the details, then spend the majority of time afterwards just revising it. I should be doing that, but I balk at the crap I produce when I force myself to write. Bah, I'll have to suck it up and do it anyway. XD
Ahh, big changes. Health changes, family changes, getting bugged about marriage (what else is new, and the pressure is only getting worse), career choice changes, etc. I'm planning on still being a writer, but am going into the medical field as a back-up. :)
It's been awhile! Nice to see you on lj again. :) I've been good. Started uni, added on a second major (English ftw!), picked up two summer jobs. Did a lot of fandom hopping and got re-addicated to jdramas/kdramas/twdramas. I've been having a really good time overall. =)
I know, right? I still remember when I saw you at Anime North a few years ago!
Congrats on starting uni! Which one are you attending? And what's your first major? lol look at me asking so many questions--but seriously I'd love to catch up. ♥
I myself have decided to enter the medical field! Still want to be a writer, of course, but I need a back-up. :)
Me too! Oh man, I was such an awkward panda, I remember walking off and being like 'why are you so failcakes Zeineb? T_T LEARN TO BE BETTER AT BEING SOCIAL'
I'm at York University doing political science! I'm not sure if I'm sticking with it, I haven't really loved my courses so far but they've all been mandatory all first years and second years must take these stuff. Hopefully things will be more interesting once I'm picking my own focus.
Also medicine! So basically you are both a writing and science/math/things-I-file-under-practical-right-brain-stuff genius! COOL. =D
LOL awwww! No, you were fine! Which part of Toronto are you located in, anyway? We should hang out. :D
Cool, my cousin and aunt went to York, too. Seems like a friendly place, from what I've heard, at least compared to stupid old U of T. But yeah, I had to go through four years at school before I decided what I really wanted to do, so don't worry if you feel like you can't find your footing in the first couple years. :)
Ahaha, I suck SO HARD at math. It was a miracle I passed grade 11 math. But I do love science in all its forms so medicine was also an area of major interest. Plus I love helping people, so it just fit. ♥
Welcome back! You've been missed ♥ Nice to hear that you're interested in the medical field, I'll be starting pre-med within the next two years :D. How's everything been going for you?
Oh man, I'm so glad I've chosen a field my parents will be satisfied with and that I'll also enjoy. I still plan on being a writer, but it's good to have a back-up job that pays regularly, right?
Everything's just going at this point, lol. Just waiting to see where life takes me. I'm looking for a job in the medical field (even mopping up vomit, I swear I'm not picky) because the Physician's Assistant program at my University asks for 1600 hours experience in a medical environment before you enroll. X_X That's my biggest concern right now, especially since I'm an English major and have no experience in a hospital/clinic environment. Oh well, hopefully my nurse aunt and uncle will be able to help me out. XD
What are you aiming for career-wise, anyway? Doctor? :D
Haha yes. Regularly paying jobs are always a plus. Good to know you're sticking with what you love in the meantime though.
I worked at a hospital this past year for the Biomedical division. I went around & cleaned all the IV pumps, SCDS, hypothermic machines and a few others. Long hours but it wasn't bad; saw some interesting patients, met great surgeons/nurses & got some good stories out of it. I've known for a few years that I want to be in the medical field but the job cemented that for me. Working in any sort of hospital environment helps, you might want to give one a call & ask if you can speak to the manager of some divisions for work. Volunteering also does wonders for background. Having an aunt & uncle in the area definitely helps too XD
Not dead, per se, just busy as all hell and capable of prioritizing the right way, unlike 90% of the internet that I know of. Looks like my guess was not off at all, but I'm relieved to hear from you still.
And also that you're feeling better; I'm sorry I couldn't be around for you during your troubles.
Life has been... okay. Definitely better than yours, some mistakes I've made, some crap I put up with, but things are resolving for me as well.
You'll be shocked to hear I switched from tea to coffee, ha. Then again I've had a penchant for the unhealthy diet for a while.

I'm so sorry for vanishing. My stress level sort of reached critical mass and I crashed and rebooted if I'm to use a computer analogy.
But yeah, I'm alive and functioning more or less at a normal level and I've got my motivation back, so here I am~
How's life been for you thus far? *hopes it's been better than mine*
