You're welcome! Thank you for the beautiful prompt. I am such a sucker for it, and for this show, and for the characters you picked and I'm thrilled to pieces that you like it, you really like it! I was a little hesitant because I didn't have my usual BSG wingman (you're my Helo, dammit!) to give it a beta and make sure things were accurate, but hey, if you find something now let me know and I'll fix it. ♥ In the meantime, I'll just sneak off and cause trouble elsewhere!

I love how Sam's memory waffles back and forth between stuff that happened on Earth before, and stuff he's experienced with Kara. And I love that it ended with Kara, and her not knowing who to talk to, or if she even could.

It's been a while since I read this, so I went back and took another look. I'm a sucker for the tiny slice we get to see of irradiated Earth and the reactions people have to it, and I'm a sucker for the portrayal of the devastation and isolation everyone feels/deals with in their own way.

Now I want to watch it all again.
