I'm adding you via crazymeds' friending post. I'm also an aspiring MD. :)

You've been around medquest for a while. I'm a first year med student and an EMT, and I have an adult ADHD diagnosis, though I've only started considering medication since I started med school.

I'm interested to hear what you're going through, and maybe you want a peak at what you'll be dealing with in the future? Up to you, of course.

i'd love to read your journal. i'd love to hear about med school. i'm still getting together my science pre-reqs (i have a journalism degree,) so you'll have to listen to me bitch about undergrad classes, but if you can handle that, then we'll be great friends. haha. i'd love to hear about how the ADHD affects your progress in med school. it's something i worry about. i rely heavily on the medication i take because when it comes to math and the math involved in chemistry and physics (something i hope there will be less of in actual med school,) my working memory deficit is so great that i can't do the work without the medication. i simply won't arrive at the right answer, if i can get to an answer at all. i worry because the meds wear off at the end of the day and med students are notorious for studying long into the night. i worry that my meds will fail me in med school. but i guess i'll cross that bridge when i come to it. anyway... adding you.

hey there...mind if i add you as a friend? i see you on the bipolar support community and after reading your user info, we might get along... i am bipolar I, with panic disorder, ADD (inattentive), and agoraphobia. I have several Canadian friends - they get all pissed off at playing Trivial Pursuit because they always get the "What American..." questions *lol* it's like a conspiracy. i rarely use caps unless i am feeling grammar-conscious ( ... )

I added you as a friend.

I think we're very similar - I plan to eventually become a family nurse practicioner - if I'd decided years ago (in my 20s), I might have opted for medical school.

I blew my GPA over a period of many years (have stayed in school even though it's been extremely difficult) due to ADHD that only got diagnosed about a year ago. Then blew my GPA again when I lost my insurance and stopped being medicated.

I'm going for my LVN then hopefully to a private LVN-to-BSN program because in Cali, it's hard to get into a regular RN program with a less than stellar average.

Anyway, enough babbling, that's me... nice to meet you!

We're both Canada-based students and members of crazy_academics and the OCD community. I think that's reason enough to qualify for your friend list. Unless you feel otherwise, in which case I won't argue. But crazy Canadians ought to band together, if you ask me.

Cheers.
