First- I love that Kripke had to have put Bela in there just to screw with us. Ideally, I think he wanted us to like her; I was always ambivalent. I don't mind unscrupulous characters, I can like them fine without admiring them. Or even like disliking them. But in this episode, I kind of bled for her a little. I disagree - I mean, she shopped our boys to the cops, and because of that the whole sheriffs station and the cops and the virgin and everybody got killed by Lilith. And the boys could have been locked up in a real jail forever. I just can't forgive her for that.

But - it sucks that demons are allowed to make deals with 14 year olds. Let's face it - at 14 I would have traded my soul for a better figure and clear skin, let alone to get rid of abusive shitty parents like Bela had.

Maybe if we'd had those episodes we lost because of the writer's strike, maybe we would have had time to get to know Bela more and I might have actually cared when she carked. maybe.

As it was - I loved her ending - and I'm so glad Dean didn't kill her. If he does end up in hell it will be because of the deal, and not because he killed a human being, even a scummy one like Bela.

About the selling them out to the cops, I always wondered if she had any idea about the scope of what she'd done- Henderson and all. I'd agree that was the unforgivable part- and I'd forgotten all about that when making the post ( ... )

I haven't seen the epi yet, but I'll have to chat with you next week. I am annoyed by them killing off Bela though. I liked her. GRRRR...

Sure! After monday, I'm a free person. Well, I'll be in Cali, so the timing will be strange, and then I'll be doing journal write-on, but keeping much better hours! So we can chat any time :)

Well, if you like Bela, I think you'll really like the way they killed her off.
