Today was a happy day.

I haven't had a happy day in a long time. I may not have another one in a long time. So I'm just grateful for today. God gave me a good day.

Talking about basic human needs naturally brings up the subject of relatedness/mutuality -- love. And my professor raised a couple interesting points. I'm not sure I agree with everything he said, but...it was thought-provoking. He said anyone who can only love another cannot love at all. A few months ago I began recording quotations in a notebook - pithy sayings, funny thoughts, proverbs, musings... just about anything I find inspiring or challenging.
