Whew! I survived the preschooler onslaught. Now we have lots of food (and candy, also known as ex-piñata fodder) and many small plastic toys. Sigh. I tried to be environmentally conscious, at least a little, on this day of Live Earth, but it's really tough to avoid plastic and paper as an urban parent. At least I didn't do goodie bags! Oh, Ioan as Ivan would be perfect! And yes, I believe Miles is about 4'9" whereas Jamie is about 5'8" (reported as 5'9", but I think that might be generous). But he can empathize. :0) Not like Elijah Wood was really a hobbit, after all! *g*

What about Mary as Cordelia? (not a stretch, I think I cribbed that from a fic, hee!)

i didn't know you were a fan of the Vorkosigan books!

O yes! I actually found them through a BSG fic - this one. How lucky that the writer did both fandoms justice!

Mountains of Mourning is only a novella, but I have a soft spot for that one. And A Civil Campaign is so elaborate and clever but also ultimately happy - I think that pushes it ahead by a nose for me. :0)
