Because it's Friday and it's the holiday season, I give you my absolutely favorite Terminator rec evar!:
There Has to Be Some Magic by Kath Tate
It's an AU story where Kyle Reese didn't die in the original Terminator movie. Kyle, Sarah and six year old John are living in a small town, preparing to celebrate Christmas. It's a beautiful, beautiful story that I absolutely love to pieces. Kath does a great job of illustrating the humor and heartbreak of Kyle trying to fit into pre-war society.
The story is a sequel to Where Roots Will Grow, a Halloween story. Kath has one more in the series, No Time Like the Present, and another story written in before John sends Kyle back called Like Son, Like Father.
