I don't think there's a whole lot that's wrong with crying over a person's death. it is slightly off i suppose that you think there's something else involved with it. but yeah...
the reasons i wasn't crying outside are fairly abundant...and i'm sure some of them are pretty similiar to the reasons the rest of us weren't.
your whole family seems to be really emotional or...sensitive? so some people are probably jsut more inclined to cry than others. also i guess it depends on your mood. i'm sure if it had been on some different day i would have reacted completely differently. i'm gonna have to say that you crying isn't all that out of the ordinary. heh, i cried a while ago about it. i haven't decided to much what i'm going to say to John. Being bad at dealing with awkward situations is no good.
aha good call on the dashboard confessional comment. it's key.

Funerals and wakes are just...too much for me to handle...something so sad amongst everything else that is happy; like being alive, friends, family...Crying is perfectly normal, although I didn't, but of course, I didn;t go to the funeral or wake, for all I know, I might off, its, like I said before, a huge thing to deal with while everything else is so happy...I will have to apologize to john for not appearing of course, I hope he'll understand my reasons...Its not like I don't like him; I think hes an amazing kid, it was just too much for me...

at least you cry when things are actually sad. cause funerals are wicked sad. i can't take them. like mr. horigan's i basically cried my body weight in tears.

but then again i cry at the end of win a date with tad hamilton. so...guess you can't really take my opinion seriously.
