First of all, if you haven't seen Regretsy before you simply must check it out. Paul and I have had tons and tons of side splitting laughs from that website! It's where DIY meets WTF! Lovely

While I say to people that I don't have any regrets, I'd say my biggest regret was hastily moving to New York without anything set up. It was an amazing experience, an experience I waited for for many years. However, I left because I was unhappy with where I was. One year later, I'm back in that same place.
I can see how that can be a major regret. You have to think of it this way: Perhaps it wasn't your time to be there. Often times we both make hasty decisions but at least for me, I know that when I make these decisions I'm never 100% comfortable with the situation. When the time comes for NYC to cross your path again and you're sitting comfortable with the situation meaning you have a sense of calm and peace about it that's when you strike for the opportunity. I want to apologize to you because I feel like I was instrumental in persuading you to make that decision to move. If I would've just said Good luck and not been eggin' you on about moving there I feel like sometimes you would've probably been somewhere else. IDK Gurlene, I'm sorry about that. Another regret! :-\ Your fate was not mine to play with!
When I was younger I'd always say I have no regrets because every decision made was made for a reason. Bull. I'd also say I don't have regrets I just have things I wish I could have done differently and I believe that's a sly way of masking the regret. Personally my biggest regret is just falling off the face of the earth for some family members. I'm awful at keeping intouch with a lot of people and I am tryin to do differently. I must say very interesting post and everytime i see you and Andrew write something I get so excited and happy I came back to LJ :)
Man, I hear you regarding facebook and text messaging. It's so impersonal. It's great that I'm in contact with all these people I care about, but I feel having such an easy way to connect with people makes all of our interactions superficial. It's kind of like being able to download any tv show, movie or game you want off of the internet. You can get ANYTHING like that for free. So do you? If so, is it rewarding? I find that when everything comes that easy it loses its value. And I think the same thing happens on facebook. I can talk to That Guy any time I want, so I never reach out to him. It's ironic and really disheartening
