Since I *finally* closed on the house, it's been a while for a post. Got moved in, making progress on painting and lighting (only 1 left to install!) and I've finally decided to back off on spending money on projects for now :) Still want to do a housewarming-style party, just to have people over. Especially when it gets deposited into my IRA savings account so I can withdraw about half of it to pay for my closing costs. Guess that week push-back to 11/30 worked out well for me in this scenario, too :)

I officially have 12 days until closing. (OMG!!!) I've been busy trying to pack, albeit slowly, and getting things ready so I can start things moving once I get the keys. 85% of the office is packed up (!)  Took all day Saturday and a few hours on Sunday of shredding old check duplicates (10 years worth). I mostly have papers to re-organized into 3-ring binders and then to pack up, plus the odds and ends on top of the desk and some old award plaques I need to simply store.
