AHA! So "bouya" is not some strange Japanese word after all! My dictionary only had booya in it, and that didn't seem quite right given the context and now it makes a hell of a lot more sense with your translation! ;)

Yup, bouya is like a condescending way to say "boy". :) Akutsu for ex., calls Ryoma "kozou", which is rather means "brat".

Presumably it derives from a mispronounciation of "boy"?

Sounds like it, but it actually has a kanji, 坊や（ぼうや） which is used in words like "kid, infant".

Th-Thank you so much for these. I love the strength each of the songs stands for. In some way, even if they sing about the finals and all being the winner and number 1, it depicts their characters and roles in their teams somehow. Idk how to explain it, but these type of songs are sooooo good to hear because you get a huge part of how they possibly could think. >D I LOOOOOVE 5th cast so much, too! I think they're my favorite cast for some reason...because even if they didn't get that much group or victory songs (compared to 4th, because 5th shared Hyoutei and Shitenhoujimyu's songs), I still think that they're sooooo good even though their first performance was with 4th...which made them awesome, because they had the privelege to be with them for a good year or two. akjdbgsashvfjdshbf ♥

AND RYUUKI? DO I NEED TO HIGHLIGHT HOW AWESOMECAKES HE IS? But yknow, in Highlight at the very last line of Katsu no wa, katsu no wa...!, after that I screamed Rikkai anyway... *whistles*
