Unfunny business.

So. Thinking about how we're still pretty much in the dark regarding Masa's stage accident, I had a brilliant - if somewhat suicidal - idea, and went looking into the Pit of Darkness for threads on 2chan. If you don't know 2chan, it's basically a Japanese message board covering a wide range of topics, including actor/myu related stuff, but also ( Read more... )

masa, curiosity killed the cat, fandom, wtf?!

Dear god. I mean, this people is insane. Yes, it is expensive to go see them, yes, they have shirt runs for their stageplays, but because of that, it is harder to keep up in give your best.

That's so disrespectful and egoistical...
::shakes head::

The guy could have got a worse lesion, you know? It may cost his career? And they're so damn selfish!

Definitely curiosity killed the cat.
Man, I hope that he really don't get info about those damned hateful threads. He doesn't need those kind of people. >.>;;

Yes, disrespectful is the word I was looking for here. It's one thing to be disappointed or feel discomfort about what happened, but at least try to understand how the person himself must feel.

I wonder if they'd be still saying that he was taught a good lesson if he had suffered a worse injury. Probably some of them would. :(

... It just frustrates me so much. I hope nothing but lots of supportive messages have reached him after this.

Good God, can you say inconsiderate!? I've had my blunders and I'm sure there were a lot of people who were a little surprised but they know full well that NO ONE IS PERFECT. Welcome to life. Can you do that entire thing yourself? If so why aren't you a "professional" you ASS. AOFISJFOSEIJFFFFFFF!!!

*deep breath*

Wow, I must be really PMS-ing! I'm not a huge fan like some people but I relate to these kinds of incidents so when I hear about people being so critical its a little disheartening. D: I hope it doesn't bother him (as much as it did me rofl)... But yeah, they seem to be very uptight about their performers. If they're not "perfect" its to the next rising idol OTL;;;

Yes, this. The inability to accept that mistakes DO happen is one thing, but the whole UNFEELING attitude and the 'well, he got what was coming to him'-type of reactions is what skeeve me totally.

I love how people who have done nothing themselves are the quickest to judge. Oh shoot, your "enjoyment" of the play has been ruined! Poor soul! What about the person who was likely, you know, INJURED?

AGDHDSLKDHSDSLEJFLLL!!! INDEED.

At times like this am I very glad that the comment feature on his blog is no more. At least staff can weed out the attacking emails.

I'd like to use some reverse psycology on those folks, have them mess up and make a total ass out of them and their efforts. And perhaps they'll get a broader view of the world around them, not just them. You know what, they only care because they're celebrities. If they weren't they wouldn't even bother thinking about them.

Self-centered frickin' ********..... <3

what.

Oh my god. I am so ... blank. Where the hell do they get off saying things like
"Falling off a stage, that's not only carelessness, that's unbelievable."? It IS unbelievable, unbelievable that he GOT BACK UP AND KEPT GOING DESPITE RISKING TEARING A LIGAMENT. No one was more aware than how awful the situation was than MASA, who I'm sure took an awful blow emotionally, because HE KNOWS HE IS A PROFESSIONAL. He's not trying to excuse himself for fucks sake, he KNOWS. He's trying to make his fans feel less worried by trying to put a positive spin on things, to which I was immensely grateful. How dare they use that against him ( ... )

.... Blankness is exactly that came over me after this, I just... can't even be bothered to be upset. Fucking ingrates.

Ah screw it, I WILL quote it back at you this time.

THIS THIS THIS THOUSAND TIMES THIS, THIS SHOULD BE WRITTEN IN RED LETTERS AND PLASTERED ON THEIR FACES WITH DUCT TAPE.

I didn't want people to be upset by this, hence the warnings, but yeah. The whole thing is so, so... PATHETIC for lack of a better word that I can't even work myself up properly about it anymore.

But at least their crap will never reach him and that I am SO VERY GRATEFUL FOR.

ALSO TAKUI AHDHFKHEFHEFHSF <333333333 YOKATTA NE, MASA ( ... )

I am feeling better ranting out with you :)) doingfirst January 5 2009, 23:19:22 UTC
I am still in a bit of disbelief that people can really be that callow. ://

SERIOUSLY. I would never, ever put my enjoyment of a play over Masa's career, which is what he risked to try and make it up to the audience for his accident. The description of the accident makes me cringe and want to cry for him, how can they not feel the same? If I saw it I would have broken into a million pieces, I swear :( Not criticised him :(

YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD BE AMAAAZING? If they sang it together~ I wish :D

100% on your edit. He kept it to himself for awhile I think so that he could eventually put a positive spin on things and not come across as feeling as down as I'm sure he felt. That is such a beautiful act towards his fans, one which I'm not sure most idols would follow. Masa <3333

It just makes me shudder to think that this could have had much more serious consequences because of him getting up and continuing to DANCE (not just back on the stage, actually dancing!), and... akdhsklhfslfh, I can't even.

Yes, even the description is terrible and I'd have felt sorry for this happening to ANYONE - though of course it happening to *Masa* of all people is even more of a horrible feeling. :(

OOOH I'D LOVE IT IF THEY'D SING TOGETHER SOME TIME. IT WOULD MAKE HIM SO HAPPY ♥

It's pretty scary, isn't it? :/ Well, while I'm sure some of them were just trolling out of spite, the fact that I only found one or two accepting / understanding comments in like, ten, has made me very much D:-faced.

And to make it a bit clearer, we're talking about a guy who has absolutely no high-and-mighty celebrity sttitude and is always very humble towards his work and fans. Such reactions are even more saddening like that.

....

The Japanese so-called "fans" are just vicious. Jesus. Instead of pretending to care about an idol, it's painfully obvious to us third-party international observers (well, me anyway) that their idol worship is purely and entirely selfish and for their own entertainment to give meaning to their lives instead of, you know, being genuinely interested in the idol and his welfare.
