I had a great idea for this week's lecture, but I don't think I'm going to pull it off. I thought I could get a whole heap of bits of movies where they do weird stuff with computers. You know, Scotty from Star trek talking to a mac and then tapping a few keys to create a new compound, uploading a virus from a mac computer to an alien space ship

Isn't there a site somewhere with a whole geek-compiled list of annoying screen portrayal of computers. My personal bug is the use of key strokes when any sane person would be using a mouse. I seem to recall a few geeks being pissed off with LED reflections on faces. I'm sure I sent the link to you at the time.

Is this confined to movies, or does the little screen count?

And I have just realised that Firefox spell check doesn't do plurals. It has just underlined geeks and movies, even though it finds both geek and movie acceptable.
