[He's sitting in the library a few books and loose pages around him. Since he couldn't really get too many straight answers he's hunting for his own...]

The 21st..? That's not right. It just passed. It wouldn't really count, right?

[Long pause while he thinks about ... stuff.]

At least all the noises have stopped.

[OOC: .. Happy birthday ( Read more... )

[Oh hey, it's the antisocial kid.] Wouldn't count?

[Ogod annoying girl. He doesn't respond right away, contemplating how to explain.]

... The date. It passed not too long ago where I'm from.

So did the 19th and 20th. I meant, why is that one important?

That wasn't really my point.

[He so doesn't want to tell her. Really regretting he took that journal with him right now. He'll debate a while before sighing.]

It's nothing to worry about. I just noticed the date.

...why do I get the feeling that they are never going to learn each others' names? xelhes December 22 2009, 06:12:45 UTC
You're really unconvincing, you know that?

Forever will they be anti-social boy and annoying girl! Sounds like super heroes. inaberration December 22 2009, 06:26:33 UTC
[He'sgonnaregretthis.He'sgonnaregretthis. He shouldn't have said a word.]

The 21st is my birthday. But I don't think it really counts since it already passed this year. See, nothing to worry about.

Fighting evi--oh, wait, actually just fighting each other xelhes December 23 2009, 02:54:50 UTC
[Mission successful. She probably would have backed off in a moment, but she had hoped that this last would let him cave ahead of time.]

...Well, maybe not. Depends on how long it took them to bring us here.

How old would you have been if it had?

Preeeeeeeetty much. It could be like a Miguel and Tulio concept. Sorta. inaberration December 23 2009, 03:07:20 UTC
[Don't gloat. Anyways he seems pretty upset about the whole year idea. If anything, angry.]

You're saying that it would take them almost a year to bring me here. There's no way that could happen. To say a year passed already? No way. Even if this place makes absolutely no sense...

The calendars could just be different. Or timed differently. This is another world so it makes more sense, and it isn't as impossible.

And if it doesn't count then it doesn't matter.

Sadly, I never watched that film. xelhes December 23 2009, 03:22:14 UTC
[She won't. Out loud. Probably. She's a bit surprised by his reaction, since she had been too fixated on other issues to get very upset over the idea herself.]

What, you think we were brought here in minutes or something? This can't be that close to home if it really is another world.

I mean, it probably is different, but still.

[With heavy sarcasm.] Geez, sorry for asking.

You should remedy that. inaberration December 23 2009, 03:30:49 UTC
[He'll sigh and then say nothing. Even if she has a point, he secretly just doesn't want to consider that he left his mom at home on her own for a whole year not to mention other things. Consider the sigh his response.]

I'll keep it in mind, but I am kind of horrible about getting around to watching movies. xelhes December 23 2009, 03:35:36 UTC
[Unfortunately, she doesn't know enough about just how whacked the timelines are around here, as she's not sure if she believe the "time doesn't pass at home" idea enough to tell him even if she knew what he was thinking about. Instead, it's time for her Annoying Girl powers.]

...Hey, say something. We talked about this.

I think youtube has it somewheres. Not the best quality but it should. inaberration December 23 2009, 03:42:51 UTC
[... It's better she doesn't, actually. That would make it worse. Antisocial boy powers - ACTIVATE.]

Right.

I don't know why I'm bothering. ... I'll look into the time conflict more. But that probably means asking around...

Reply

Well, that might make it easier. Removes one step to be lazy about. xelhes December 23 2009, 03:48:05 UTC
That's a good idea.

It probably does, but asking around isn't that hard. I'm sure even someone like you can do it, especially with these things.

You know the movie title, right? inaberration December 23 2009, 03:55:56 UTC
That wasn't my point. If I asked around that would mean asking those who know barely anymore than us. Chances are they aren't aware either or nothing is definite. The only people who would know for sure are likely the "Malnosso" and looking back, they probably won't talk.

The Road to El Dorado, I think? I googled their names. xelhes December 23 2009, 04:05:33 UTC
...Oh. I see what you mean. I mean, some people here seem to have a better picture of what's going on, but...probably not on this.

Even if they would, don't try to talk to the Malnosso.

Yeeeep. inaberration December 23 2009, 04:08:44 UTC
