As for my boyfriend, I've been sort of evasive about the whole name thing, but it's just an inside joke. When I first met him, I didn't know his name. I met him at the Big Bear Ren Faire, where he is one of the Queen's Guards. So, for the first few days, when we were still sort of "courting" and speaking to each other in Elizabethan (insert HILARITY!!!), I referred to him as "my guard". It's just sort of stuck since then. His status on facebook even reads "is listed as "my guard" in a cell phone." It's dorky, I know. But I like it, and I find it humorous to refer to him as that on a regular basis. It seems, in my mind, to make my stories about him more interesting also. :P

Oh, and maybe I missed something, but why do you keep referring to your person (boyfriend?) as your "guard"?
