I finally watched the BSG finale last night, with spooky_thing, janet_carter, and my dear friend P who was visiting for the weekend. I studiously avoided all posts on the subject for the last 2 weeks, so if you wrote one, I want to read it now. Point me at it

I enjoyed it… I think the continuity part of my brain turned itself off. Starbuck-as-angel did not work; it was a casualty of Moore & co's "make it up as you go along even though we're a heavily continuity-based series," which worked wonders in seasons 1 and 2 (Baltar takes over!), not so much season 3 (Lee and Kara sort out their problems by boxing!) and with this plot.

I guess I wasn't bothered by the "it was earth!" ending b/c of the 4.0 finale, aka the "You maniacs! You blew it up! God damn you! God DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!" ending. Which was kinda genius.

Any show that can throw a "150,000 years later" title card into its series finale and not bat an eyelid deserves mad props.
