Ouch... this should be an interesting showdown. Though I hurt for them both, because this must seem like a nice opportunity to do what she loves doing best again for Brenda (especially with a case she's especially passionate about and invested in), but simultaneously, this must one of Sharon's worst fears as she's still trying to convince herself that she fits in with this team and that she's leading the department well enough and dependably enough for them NOT to go looking for Brenda at the first sign of possible trouble.

I love how you wrote her arguments at the end about exactly why she doesn't want Brenda involved (none of which cites her personal feelings, because Sharon Raydor will be professional 'til the end), and those are all good, true, and valid points, because the last thing anyone would want is for Brenda to go in wearing her blinders, especially because this was her legacy - Stroh - and because she does have a grudge against him. This can all work out very poorly for the LAPD because generally, the law frowns upon ( ... )
