SXSW 2008

I had an entire weekend planned out in Austin for SXSW, which included eating a disgusting amount of fatty brisket and creamed corn, sweater vests, seeing new bands, ribcage tattoos, and the Pottery Barn outlet.

Unfortunately, the weekend unexpectedly got cut short, but I did get to meet up with a prior country western dance partner from college,

I'm dating a woman who actually performed at SXSW. She had a great time.

Question...I recall that you always have very good pictures on your blog. Can you tell me what kind of camera you use? I just ordered the Canon G9. Decided I need to start learning how to take a decent picture.

i have a Canon Rebel XT.

how's the G9? although i love my dSLR, i've been thinking about getting a new point and shoot. they fit a little easier in your pocket. =P

I just got my G9 delivered today. So far I like it. It has some pretty great reviews. I don't have a dSLR, mainly because of the size so I was working with a Canon SD450 (I think that's the model number) before. 5.1 megapixels and really compact - but I wanted something with more features and settings. Of course, I don't really know how to use them so I've got a lot of learning to do before I head off to Europe in 6 weeks.

So far, I dig it.
