Yay, Randomness!

We're at the hotel now. Havin' lots of fun, doing a bunch of shopping, watching movies, staying up late and sleeping in, letting the dog swim in Lake Superior, and all that. ;D The people at this hotel are wonderful. We were having a bit of trouble with a smell in our other room, but they were totally booked the last two nights. Because it wasn't a ( Read more... )

Yaay, I'm glad you're having a good time! :D

*sporfles about Leonard Nimoy* Isn't it hilarious, when an actor you almost cannot associate from some austere character they've played before, appears elsewhere as a real wimp? Actually, I've seen an episode of The Twilight Zone with Leonard Nimoy in it, and his character there was pretty...odd too. I don't know if you've seen it, but he played a really exhausted soldier who was pretty much threatening to just sit down and cross his arms the next time his commanding officer ordered him to do something. Which was kind of funny too.... :D ( ... )

LOL! Oh, I think I may have to find that episode - hadn't heard of it before. *snerk* Yeah, I can just picture Spock doing that to Kirk. "No, Captain." "Wha...?" "I know that as a Vulcan I am stronger than a human, mentally and physically, but you expect too much of me. I've had enough." "Um... BONES! Spock's been poisoned - or drugged - or possessed by an alien entity - or something!" *giggles* Do you remember at all what it was called? He, I can always google it, too, it you don't recall off-hand. ;)

Thanks for the rec! I've just gotten myself an account at Photobucket - it does look like it's going to be miles better. Got a bunch of pics uploaded already, and I'll be heading over to post them in a bit. I've been experimenting around, trying some new things drawing-wise lately (though I don't have all the real different ones scanned in yet - planning on that as soon as we get home, now that I can actually upload them), and I've been really pleasantly surprised at how well/easily a lot of it's been coming out. :D

Yes, actually! It's called "Quality of Mercy," and it's Season Three; you can watch the whole thing here. :D He, and now that I've looked at it, it's not quite how I thought I remembered it...it does seem like he's less openly rebellious in this episode as he is just rather...grumpy and in the background and not listening to anybody. Heee! :D

Hurray, I'm glad it's working better for ya! And eeee, I will very much be looking forward to the drawings. :D

It is so funny when an actor is so inextricably associated with a certain role in my mind that seeing him behaving differently - especially like that - is as bizarre as seeing the character himself behave that way.

Though it was almost as funny seeing Deforest Kelley in a pre-Star Trek movie, in which he played an army medic, and nearly his only line was "He's dead, Jim." *laughs*

Websites? I find Photobucket the easiest. I tried Geocities, and gave up because it hated me. <.

Thank you! I've just signed up for Photobucket now, and it looks like it will be considerably easier. Hopefully I'll be able to post my pics more often - and easily - now. ;)

Here I am, trying to catch up with my friends page. ;-) It sounds like you're having a really good time!

I use Photobucket for sharing my photos online (for example the one with the view from my window). It hasn't really annoyed me until now, and the great thing is when you click on "insert picture" LJ actually asks you if you want to import them from photobucket and allows you to view your files there. It makes things much easier than all that pasting-and-inserting links stuff. :)

We are having a wonderful time. It's so beautiful up here... so very much like the sea, only with fresh water. :D

Photobucket does seem to be the consensus. I just got myself an account, and it does seem to be working wonderfully. SO much easier and faster than messing around with Geocities! *sighs in relief*

Sounds great! The only thing I'm missing around here is a big lake nearby... though I'd probably only get sea-longing, lol.

It's so nice when something for once is working the way it should, isn't it? *g*
