We're at the hotel now. Havin' lots of fun, doing a bunch of shopping, watching movies, staying up late and sleeping in, letting the dog swim in Lake Superior, and all that. ;D The people at this hotel are wonderful. We were having a bit of trouble with a smell in our other room, but they were totally booked the last two nights. Because it wasn't a

*sporfles about Leonard Nimoy* Isn't it hilarious, when an actor you almost cannot associate from some austere character they've played before, appears elsewhere as a real wimp? Actually, I've seen an episode of The Twilight Zone with Leonard Nimoy in it, and his character there was pretty...odd too. I don't know if you've seen it, but he played a really exhausted soldier who was pretty much threatening to just sit down and cross his arms the next time his commanding officer ordered him to do something. Thanks for the rec! I've just gotten myself an account at Photobucket - it does look like it's going to be miles better. Got a bunch of pics uploaded already, and I'll be heading over to post them in a bit. I've been experimenting around, trying some new things drawing-wise lately (though I don't have all the real different ones scanned in yet - planning on that as soon as we get home, now that I can actually upload them), and I've been really pleasantly surprised at how well/easily a lot of it's been coming out. :D

Though it was almost as funny seeing Deforest Kelley in a pre-Star Trek movie, in which he played an army medic, and nearly his only line was "He's dead, Jim." *laughs*

I use Photobucket for sharing my photos online (for example the one with the view from my window). It hasn't really annoyed me until now, and the great thing is when you click on "insert picture" LJ actually asks you if you want to import them from photobucket and allows you to view your files there. It makes things much easier than all that pasting-and-inserting links stuff. :)

Photobucket does seem to be the consensus. I just got myself an account, and it does seem to be working wonderfully. SO much easier and faster than messing around with Geocities! *sighs in relief*

It's so nice when something for once is working the way it should, isn't it? *g*
