Industrial Catastrophe!!!

So the balls at the ends of the bar to my second industrial were turning my skin greyish-green the way metal does when your skin reacts to it. It didn't hurt or anything, it was just ashy-looking. I told my piercer and he told me to unscrew them and clean them a bit, and so I did today and the bar FELL OUT. All I know is that one second I was

Ask your piercer about a different metal though it instead of the one he's using; Some bodies some metals more than others. I know my piercer asks me if I have a preference to anything, or if I have an allergy to something.

Also, sorry to hear about it going bad. My left cartalidge hates being pierced. I've had it done twice and it kicked it out, twice. Everything else loves it. I know the feeling. Boo. Good luck with the rest though, your ear projects looked teh s3x0rz.

Oh no, it's not that my body rejected the piercing.. it's just that the bar slid out when I had unscrewed the ball for cleaning. I'm going to definitely stick with all-plastic or at least stainless steel (not cheap-o metal that turns skin colors and not acrylic because that's not recommended for fresh piercings) for when I get it re-done hopefully this Saturday. And I will make sure not to unscrew anything until it is FULLY HEALED UP! Aack!!!

Now I've decided to get mine done. Been wussing out for ages about it, because it's two piercings at once.. But no damnit!! Has to be done.

Go for it!!! I got TWO industrials at once, so that's like four piecings in a sitting (plus two lobes!), and it really wasn't bad at all, I think. And even if it hurts, the bulk of it is only in the few minutes where you're getting pierced - after that it's all about letting things heal up and taking Advil if that works for you.
