My, what a lovely outfit you have. ;) It still looks so fresh and inventive.
You picked my favourite Lombards. She's such an easy subject, just like James Dean. Very beautiful portraits to work with. The Dean icon was actually doing quite well until the re-voting. But I'm not too disappointed as I'm quite pleased with them myself, even now. And I'm quite tempted to make some more...
The same goes for Becoming Jane. There were so many lovely images to choose from I think I got overwhelmed. Ideas are still brewing in my head, so you'll probably see new ones soon.
I don't think I'm that brave. I feel like I'm often making "safe" choices. Having similar approaches to the icons as before, sticking to techniques I'm most familiar with. *shrugs*

The No.1 Henry icon is just so very cheeky and you're right that line fits perfectly!
So very impressed with your other graphics and a lot of well deserved awards...I'd have to disagree with you and say that I think you show a wide range of styles and you only have to look at the batch above to see that!
BTW - I loved your 'Alone' Becoming Jane icon (I voted for it!) and I totally understand what you mean about being inspired by the movie...can't wait to see what you come up with!

The BJ 'Alone' icon was something I did experiment with, and I'm now quite addicted to those torn edges. And as I'm going to see Atonement in a couple of days, I'm sure I'll finally start making some graphics from those promotional pics.
