So I made five pie crusts (for chicken and veggie pot pies tomorrow) and I served dinner, which was Caribbean style black beans, brown rice, roasted rosemary potatoes (sweet and white) and roasted cauliflower and broccoli. NOW I DED FROM COKE. /old meme

I had an absolutely ridiculously busy day, the likes of which I pretty much never see at work, and now I have BEER. And I have to write a paper. But I think the beer might help the paper.

I also have wine, in case that helps better.

And organic hot dogs and completely not organic weird fries for the kids.

BEER!!! I would kill for a beer right about now. OMG. BEER IS GOOD. Wine is also good. That totally reminds me that my father sent me a totally fancy ass bottle of wine for my birthday and we need to drink it soon.

I'm not normally much of a beer drinker - -I love it, but in small doses because it gives me a headache -- but oh god, sometimes after a day like that? You just want a freaking BEER. And Smithwick's was on sale for $9.99/case.

I just realized that I'm still wearing my I.D. tags. I got out of work 3.5 hours ago. Yep. That kind of a day.

I just got a slow cooker and am using it for the first time! I made super delicious bread pudding, and can smell the risotto now :) I am so excited!

It figures that last weekend was gorgeous so we were motivated to buy a hammock this week. It is all set up in the backyard. Which is great. Except that suddenly it is 44 degrees and pouring rain. WHAT.

I think I'm going to take a hot shower and read in the shower. Then I am going to try to build an ice palace in minecraft. Cause I'm not insane yet. Wheeeeee!

My shower has a window box space that forms a big ledge, about four feet tall. I can rest my elbows on it and hold a book out of the water spray. :D
