I slept through my orthodontist appointment. I am so awesome. Rescheduled it for tomorrow. I mean. I had one thing to do today. My throat is still ragingly sore too. So I am a pile of self pity. And it's raining. I hate this mood

My mom always used to plant comsos. :D My old user name was ari_o, but I had no idea it was a place. It was a corruption of ari stottle is Cockney for bottle.

It's so gorgeous up there. We hiked up to the mountain hut at Ario and stayed there a couple of nights, because it's where D spent many weeks on caving expeditions when he was a student. It's up on one edge of the Cares gorge, so the views are spectacular (and alarming in places!), the wildflowers are amazing, and there are rebeccos (mountain ibex) and wolves living there :)

DD wasn't impressed with the (lack of) toilet facilities, though. She asked the hut warden where the loo was, and he threw his arms out expansively and said "It is the biggest toilet in the world!" (you have to imagine the Spanish accent...). So funny.

Our kitty Jasmine waits anxiously every day for Mike to get home from work.

Bertie does the EXACT same thing. He waits for David to get home and then follows him about chirping until David sits down and let's him lie down on his lap and he gets all the scritches in the world. It's hilarious. He can be dead asleep and hear David coming from outside our building. He perks right up and as soon as he hears the keys in the door he runs up to it.
