No Christmas? Lame, man. It's way awesome, man. Snow, turkey dinner, and exchanging presents.

Oh, I like presents. And food. Can't really go wrong there.

What a strange name, though. But no, we don't have it. I suppose birthdays might come close but that's it.

Birthday is pretty close. The name is because on that day, the Christ was born, in a small stable in the town of Bethlehem. He was the Son of God, come to set the world free from sin.

... of course, after two thousand years, the meaning of it is a little different for a lot of people... but that is the true meaning for it: Hope.

That's... odd.

So hope now means presents and food. Interesting. But why the switch?

Oh. No. New Year's I can sort of understand. It's this... Christmas I know nothing of.

It's a religious holiday I think, but my country doesn't really celebrate it that way. For us, it's more of a commercial holiday.

Really? But the rest of the world does? And apparently others. But what do you mean by commercial holiday? I'm not really familiar with that term, I'm afraid.

Believe me, laddie--I once had the worst job in the universe. The days didn't just run together; they fled together in a great screaming mob.

Ah. Do I really want to know what job that would be?

I'm guessing "no." Now, there's one thing and one thing only to learn about Christmas and New Years: Jameson's.

Right. I'm not really sure I know what that is.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, of course!

It's a shame how many people don't know about it, here.
