Believe me, laddie--I once had the worst job in the universe. The days didn't just run together; they fled together in a great screaming mob.

Ah. Do I really want to know what job that would be?

I'm guessing "no." Now, there's one thing and one thing only to learn about Christmas and New Years: Jameson's.

Right. I'm not really sure I know what that is.

A very fine whiskey. It makes gathering with the family much more exciting; well, at least if you're family's like mine. I haven't seen them in quite a long time, though. Mum and grand used to make fine meals for the mess of us; lots of singing, too. I'm not sure if Christmas will be as grand here, but it's a lovely holiday.

Ah, no. Weren't really the family gathering sort. But I like whiskey. Think I could try some here?

So this Christmas is a family sort of holiday then?

Think you could try some? Of course, why not? You're of age, right? And yes--for better or worse, it's family, laddie.

Of course. I was just curious if it would be here. But I guess it would, wouldn't it? They certainly seem to have everything else.

[Ah. Yeah, good old family.] ... Right.

They've got a very wide selection here indeed. Not of families, of spirits. You can take your pick, I suppose.

[Chuckle] I could really get to like this.

I'm Alistair, by the way. It's nice to meet you.

Montgomery Scott. A pleasure. Enjoy your merry-making, Alistair---and put up a tree if you have the chance. Live trees! Nothing like them.

Of course, thank you. To you as well. Wait. But, why a tree though? Some sort of tradition or ritualistic purpose?

I'm not all that certain why a tree, but it's always been trees for Christmas. A tradition. Make sure you get a real one, though. Just check it for squirrels first.

A real tree? Yes, I'll be sure to do so then.
