Well, the day with NoVa Alex went quite well. Frighteningly well, in fact. He couldn't get in touch with Catherine, so after two hours of being in town and having nothing to do, he texted me to see what I was up to. Thus, we spent the day wandering around town until Rocky Horror, and then after a brief goodbye hug, he was on his way back home.
