Speechless (The ABC Outrage Version)

For those who don't know, OLTL's Kyle and Fish pairing was brutally axed last week. The ensuing PR nightmare has been unlike anything I've witnessed before in over 20 years of soap viewing. ( After several days of shellshock, I was struck with Gaga-fueled inspiration... )

And even though I didn't watch OLTL, I too am upset. From what I've seen of Kish, they are by far the best gay love story told on soaps mainly because they're one of the better love stories told on soaps. Period.

And then the fallout with ABC blaming ratings, then focus groups and then "insiders" telling Nelson Branco that it was that one partied too hard and the other was "unavailable" to shoot scenes when they needed them that irked me the most.

Additionally I just read a rumor that they may have fired FL's Tea. Now you know how much I hate Tea but her, on the heels of everyone else, is sort of shocking and it's probably only the one way that they could make me care, care in a non-celebratory fashion that is, Tea might be leaving. Getting rid of a black girl, the gay couple and not the hispanic woman? Come. On.
