Lunch w/ Professor Dreamboat

So, I met w/ Mark yesterday and he talked me down and helped me realize that taking a year off to recharge and then repeating the application process isn't the end of the world. I'd kind of made up my mind on that front, but having someone I respect (and someone who doesn't have a personal stake in it) say it was nice.  Just have to work up the ( Read more... )

Thank you so much for those rules, Honey, I find them so amusing. (I'm from Louisiana, I understand the somewhat odd family dynamics.) it's great you found someone you blend so well with, and to not look would be some sort of denial. Just as long as you don't touch. And no matter what happens, I'm sure you'll be just fine Ilsa. *Hugs*

And simply because I feel like divulging, I'm Irish, French and Native American.

Glad you find them amusing, I do too now, although I didn't for a very long time. As for background, as long as we're sharing-WASPiest WASP that ever wasped on my mother's side(English, original Jamestown colony, I kid you not). On my father's side German and Native American. When my dad met his future in-laws he said that their ancestors must have been the ones to give his the smallpox infected blankets! Ah, at least I come by my smart mouth honestly. Considering how lacking his pedigree was in their eyes, R is like the anti-Christ!

Forgive my ignorance, but what is Cackalacky? And I'd like to remind anyone reading that I DO NOT subscribe to these rules. I think that the whole lot of that family is completely batshit and they need to stop obsessing about breeding and bloodlines. We're not horses for God's sake!

Cackalacky = Carolina. North Carolina, specifically. And I got that you don't subscribe to them, don't worry about that, I was just disturbed that you'd been subjected to them. 'Sides, there's a long and distinguished history of Southern hell cats who don't subscribe to any of those either.
