[Deep breaths, Lou, deep breaths. He's still practicing this exercise about a split second before the recording begins, shifting his focus to it immediately, superficially ready to laugh and quip at this silly challenge someone has proposed (forced) him to take part in.

It's nothing but pure nerves, he assures you.]This is... definitely the most ( Read more... )

You should see it when the really weird stuff happens...

[But then she seems to brighten as if giving herself a little unseen shake.]

Anyway, hi new guy, I'm Vanille!

Vanille. [He'd ask what kind of name that is, but we don't want to be unpleasant.] Nice to meet you.

I'm afraid to ask what 'the really weird stuff' is.

Do you have a name?

Oh, well there were monsters everywhere a week or so back and people have turned into animals and then there were two weeks where it was always daylight out because it was this big party. Night is odd I guess until you get used to not having a voice and the mirror is pretty funny too.

[There's a lengthy pause. The reason should be obvious.]

... Lou. That's my name.

What...sort of cat would this be, then?

[Because the Russian Blue currently napping contentedly on the crate supposed to contain the mummy's hand is definitely a focus of his attention right now. Probably because of the mummy hand quite determined to defend it from all comers.]

A gray... [he starts, stops himself, tries to think about it, similarly to how doubtful one would be when asked to describe something in a dream, he supposes. It's a strange comparison when most of his other trains of thought so far have felt more lucid and concrete than that, but who's counting.]

Blue cat. Female.

Mhm. Well, I admit, I haven't gotten close enough to check the gender, but...I can give you gray blue, at least.

[Lou would like to try to be a little more useful, but he isn't entirely sure the cat actually jumped into this place with him in the first place and he can't remember any particularly striking characteristics other than the color of her eyes. She doesn't have a collar, to top it all, so a mental way to go, me would go here.]

When did you find it?

[ You see this? This is a large godwolf licking his chops in exaggerated motions. Mmmm, cat. ]

[Needless to say he spends a long while narrowing his eyes and staring at the footage, trying to make out just... what he's looking at, exactly.

Just another sign that his head messing with him again.

Fuck lucid dreams.]

... Okay.

I am so sorry about him. vanagandr October 6 2011, 22:37:25 UTC

Could've used some barbecue sauce.

I'll try not to forget about it next time.

You brought a cat with you? I don't think that's happened before.

Reply

ituncleared October 6 2011, 22:39:31 UTC
I didn't exactly bring it with me.

[And he realizes that it doesn't fucking matter, so that's brushed aside immediately after it comes out of his mouth.]

Is it supposed to mean anything?

No, not really. Some people bring animals with them, but they're a bit more intelligent than your normal housecat.

... A talking wolf wouldn't happen to be one of them, would it.

Your cat has lost you, you mean.

I'm pretty sure she's the one who wandered off, not me.

[If she wandered off.]

Perhaps she did not care for your company, this is the way of cats. They do as they please.

Can't say I blame her.
