[For once, the video feed coming from Elijah's PORTAL appears to be wholly intentional.] Right. Uh. [He glances away from the camera for a moment, rubbing the back of his neck; he's clearly still not used to addressing others with this thing.] I'm sure some of y'all already know this, but back where I'm from, we got these critters called fey- ( Read more... )

We have a lot of things but I found out since I've been here that they're different to how they are for others. Faeries, death omens - I'm a banshee from an old line, the bean nighe, Dullahan, Cù Sìth and a host of others. Kelpies and the each uisge; if it's Irish or Scottish folklore or myths, I've probably been around it growing up. We have vampires and werewolves too, demons. Ghosts as well. My place of solace brought the ghosts with it.

[She could have done without them honestly, sneaking around and stealing her mask or PORTAL if she leaves them unattended.]

Sounds like a lotta things I dealt with back in the British Isles... [But wait-] Now, did I hear you right? That you're a banshee?

Well that's because I'm Scottish with a lot of Irish mixed in too. [She smirks beneath her mask then, propping her chin in her hands.] Yes, you heard right. I'm a banshee.

Ahh. [He smiles.] Well, I'll have to ask you to forgive my curiosity. It's just I ain't never seen a banshee so pretty as yourself.

I come from a world of death. Many exist there.

Is that right? [A pause.] Would you care to elaborate?

The ones I know are called angels in my world, darling. Though they hardly look like anything a bible would depict. And if they don't show up here I'm going to be severely disappointed.

[He bristles at the "darling," but.] Angels, huh... Just what do they look like?

[She can obviously care less, and if she saw that she'd only make things worse. 8|;]

Yes, angels. Sent from Heaven and the like. I suppose you can call them monsters, because they all vary depending on which one you run across. Honestly, they're too ugly to be walking or even flying around on my world at all. I'm glad I at least get to put them out of their misery.

[There's a pause as you can hear her heels click on the pavement.]

If you're asking for the most common, though, there are a few. Affinities and Applauds are like birdmen that walk on two legs and carry weapons with them wherever they go. And then there's Beloveds, which are like giants with cherub faces. Those are a bit harder to take down, but honestly a lot more fun.

[Green cat eyes staring right back at you, Elijah.]

There's a ton. My town got overtaken by demons, and is now their new Hell on Earth. Where do you want me to start?

[Well then.] Wherever you think is best; I'll defer to your judgment on that one.

Where I come from... There are Heartless, and there are Nobodies. When someone loses their heart, the darkness in it gets turned into a Heartless. They attack people and try to take their hearts, too. If someone who has a strong heart loses it, what's left behind may make a Nobody. They can't feel emotions because they don't have a heart. If the person's heart is really strong, it makes a human-shaped Nobody that keeps their memories of being human. But Nobodies are less likely to attack people than Heartless.

Sure sounds like some kinda magic... How much trouble are they to get rid of?

Nobodies die like normal people, except when they die, they don't go anywhere. There's nowhere for the non-existent to go, you know?

But Heartless -- they can only be truly killed by people who wield Keyblades. When a Heartless dies, a heart is released. But if it isn't released by a Keyblade, then it'll just come back as another Heartless somewhere else.
