Entry 001. [Text | Day]

Jun 04, 2011 00:09

I am aware that I am in an unfamiliar place; however, the message left at the nightstand was very vague. There were no names, only titles. I am searching for some answers to several questions so I can best assess the situation and find a method of transportation in order to return home. How I managed to get here is illogical, and I have not ( Read more... )

  • Promenade, the "city of dreams."
  • King Tivorno and Queen Valrune. They say we haven't been displaced at all, but that we've been here all along and belong here and blah blah blah. No one buys it.
  • "The Exile" is someone who the royalty all swear is out to destroy everything, and the Exile evidently swears that the royalty can't be trusted, as you've seen. Go figure.
  • No one knows how the hell to leave, and no one in charge's telling us. They say we've been sleeping, just woke up, and are evidently going to remember our lives before we dreamed up our real lives.
  • Have some reading.

Do you have any recollection of the traveling here?

So this place is dream.

Improbable.

Not just a dream, either. A dream that crosses multiple worlds, multiple realities, and multiple times.

1: Promenade, the city of dreams.
2: King Tivorno and Queen Valrune. Their claim is that the life you remember is a lie, and you've simply woken up. Tivorno rules the night, Valrune the day.
3: Someone who crossed the wrong person and broke the wrong rules, and was as we can glean exiled for their sin of free thinking. That, at least, is my understanding. It seems reasonable, given the tone of the government here.

4: There is no escape that we know of.

Welcome to the dream city, Spock. My name is Lucifer.

You should be wary of the ruling powers here.

I will be cautious in the presence of any individual whom has power over myself.

This is Promenade, apparently "The City of Dreams". Of course, this is an absolute exaggeration, even if we are able to somehow manipulate matter and bend it to our own will. I don't quite like how the laws of physics are ignored here.

The King and Queen are Tivorno and Valrune; the former rules the night and the latter rules the day. There are rumors of people who have disobeyed their "laws" of not speaking at night and not wearing their masks during the day, so I wouldn't break them just in case they are true.

As for the Exile, I am wondering about that as well, but I am looking for a history of this place at the moment. All places have to be built first, don't they?

Transportation is limited, and no one has found a way back home yet.

Thank you for this information. They must have a library of some sort. Or a hall of records.

I have been looking for such, but nothing that they have really pertains to this place. They have histories of everywhere else, and looking through the network files is a pain.

It is possible it is tightly guarded.

[Because Tony actually reads through what other people are saying for once and because this is Spock who is awesome in a very different way to Kirk he won't forward the guides again.]

Someone already passed on the info pack/welcome guide so if you have any other questions, I can try to answer them. Some of the info needs updated actually, I should get around to that now that I've met King Tivorno in person.
