Thank you! I'm sorry my microphone was buzzing here and there and sounded sort of muffled. I'm supposed to be getting a new one so maybe I'll have it before reading the next time. :)

I enjoyed this very much. I like this portion of the book where they are just setting off and have no idea yet how much trouble awaits them.

Thanks! :) I like this part as well. There's the bit of foreshadowing with the ominous-sounding warning about rumors of the creepy trees and strange creatures in the woods, but since they've always been so sheltered, none of the Hobbits can possibly have any idea yet of how bad things can be outside of the Shire.

Can't wait for the new movie! :D

LOL! Not going to happen babe! With son#1 away at uni taking up more time rather than less, son#2 doing GCSEs, a new job, visiting Mum in Scotland and everything else, I barely have time to write fic and post it, never mind read it!

Maybe when I retire - some time in the next decade :)
