I like the foreboding the reader can sense starting to creep in among the Hobbits at that point in the book. Poor little Hobbitses. :)
Thank you for the compliment. I've actually never liked my voice, but my children love when I read to them, and they beg me for 2 or 3 books every night, so I've kind of gotten used to doing it and it's sort of fun now. If only I could make money somehow by reading aloud to children! :D
You're welcome! :) I like to hear my LJ friends' voices too. It helps because I use the voice I imagine (or know) for others in my head when I read their posts, so it's as though they're speaking to me. (Am I the only one who does that?)
Thank you for pointing me to that post! I LOVE hearing what my LJ friends sound like. When I read your posts I can use your voice in my head now, and it will feel more like you're right here talking with me when I do. :)
I love that they have the little audio button on their entries now so you can hear a recording of the word being pronounced! (I am such a big geek.) :D

Oh, and since you asked in the post, "meme" is pronounced "meem" according to Merriam-Webster: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/meme
