Missing things

Just watched The Jane Austen Book Club. It was very enjoyable. I'm not going to say that it was the best movie ever, but it certainly didn't let me down. It was a little more sad in the beginning than I would have liked right now, but I hung in there and it resolved nicely. The end was a little "wishful thinking" with all the estranged men suddenly ( Read more... )

You will write again. I promise.

Lariope and I were just talking about this. Every time one of these episodes comes on, you start to panic, silently, inside: Is this it? Will I never write again? Is this the last time?

But you will write again.

*waves hand in front of ilke* You will write again! You will do it well. These aren't the droids you're looking for. :) Maybe the awesomeness of the new film will inspire you to write. And, you know, magaically create time and energy for you to do so.

I thought The Jane Austen Book Club was adorable. I loved Grigg relating the Fanny/Edmund relationship from Mansfield Park to Luke & Leia. I read the book as well, but this is one of the rare cases when I enjoyed the film better.

Speaking of Jane, I just watched this movie on Netflix called Lost in Austen. It was a BBC miniseries about a British girl who is a huge Pride and Prejudice fan. Her and Elizabeth Bennett somehow end up switching places, and the girl ends up in the book world. It was cute (not outstanding) and made me think of AU fanfic and Mary Sues.

And I love CelticSass. Acceptable Loss and If at First You Don't Succeed are probably by two faves of hers.

Hope you're feeling well. :)

You will right again, when you find a semblance of routine, which everyone tells me WILL happen. Is it possible that you can find half an hour to re-read some of your chapters, or to get in the mindset again? Think of how you were relating to your story when you were righting it, and maybe try to find some time to get back in there? Meh, not sure I'm helping...
