Missing things

Just watched The Jane Austen Book Club. It was very enjoyable. I'm not going to say that it was the best movie ever, but it certainly didn't let me down. It was a little more sad in the beginning than I would have liked right now, but I hung in there and it resolved nicely. The end was a little "wishful thinking" with all the estranged men suddenly ( Read more... )

I do believe Claiming Hermione is too good to abandon ('weeps' at the thought of it...).

I know it can be hard to get back in the groove after a long hiatus in writing. I'm mustering myself to continue with my Hermione's Big Bang story.

I wrote the first 8k words in a single breath two months ago, but yesterday I struggled to get back on the track. So today I used my old trusted technique - I did not try to write anything during the day. Instead, I just pondered over the story whenever I was doing other stuff that didn't require much mental involvement - sorting papers at the home office, cooking dinner, straightening my kid's room, etc. The result is that I now have a few scenes shaped up in my mind and ready to type out in a single sitting after my kid is in bed.

Of course, the fact that I stayed at home office and didn't have to go anywhere for my work today helped too.

I've just read URSBB, and loved it. Thank you for recommending such a great story!

Don't be ridiculous, of course you will write again. Just start something stupid- doesn't have to be Claiming Hermione related or anything- it can just be a description of something you're looking at or a little daydream or thoughts or whatever and make yourself write it. Reading through CH is a good plan, you can write more if you just sit and write it without necessarily writing the next chapter- just a scene that's been in your head. And don't fret about having to do it- there's no rush. Just do it because you love it. The story and your readers (especially me :D) aren't going anywhere. You'll be fine- I promise. Much love xxxxxxxxxx
