New York City, but it's been over 20 yrs since I've been there. Prague Slovak Republic (Slovakia) Moorea, Tahiti Mexico (mostly in the state of Sonora)
Bolzano, of all the major towns or cities I was in, was the most magical type place. Granted, it is in the Dolomites, but it is mixture of Austro-German and Italian influence. It was like something out of a Grimm's fairy tale. Not to mention I saw that Otzi Iceman, which was quite creepy...
i've been to spain... a few cities, it was a tour with the high schools (theres two in town) but i'd mostly be able to tell you about barcelona because it was my fav place there other than the coolness of the windmills that inspired don quijote, although there were no bathrooms within two hours parctically... that wasn't cool, lol.
I just realized I'm creating a sort of "resources list" here. Spain! Love it! I'm going to writing a Spanish story. I'm not sure if it will take place in South or Central America or Spain. Barcelona definitely is tempting! Thanks!
Flew into Brussels, stayed half a day, took a train to Paris. Stayed for seven days.
I suppose I should first give you the background--my girlfriend was an au pere (sp?) for a Parisian family. They were going on holiday for eight weeks, and told her she would be paid whether or not she went, as they had family coming along to a big cabin in the Swiss Alps.
So she, of course, decided not to work for eight weeks, and still get paid. Her last week of work, I stayed in her tiny flat and explored Paris, then we took off via EuroRail with our backpacks.
Munich, The Black Forest, Vienna, Venice, Rome, Pisa, Florence, Nice, Barcelona, Hungary... I know I'm forgetting a few. We went to Dachau concentration camp, Neuschwanstein Castle, the Vatican, Pompeii...
Lots! I loved it. Especially Paris. I want to go again to Paris desperately.
You'll notice that we never made it to England, Scotland, or Ireland. Ran out of time (and money!).

Italy sounds wonderful. Do you go frequently or was it a one-time trip?

Spain sounds lovely!

Domestically, I've been all around, but lived or lingered in the northeast (PA, NY), the southwest (AZ), and now the midwest (WI, IN).

Anything you need about any of those, let me know!
