I think both Draco and Hermione would like Florence and the Machine, though maybe for different reasons.

Met with the Business Consultant today and ohmygod we're going to do it. In like two weeks I'll officially be a business owner. I'm more than a little excitedoverwhelmedeager about this. Not excited about the set costs, but it will be worth it.

Thanks! My husband and I are both designers. I work in branding, web and print, and my husband works with photographers doing high-end photo retouching and compositing.

Visioning is an exercise where you basically journal about who you want to be, where you want to go, where you see yourself in, say, a year, or five. One way is to write down "an ideal day in the life of" (though I usually have to do a work day and non-work day with that one).

When Victoria Beckham was a teenager she said that she wanted to be as famous a Persil Automatic. (dishsoap in the uk) Just the putting it out there, or down on paper, I've found had a really powerful effect. Especially if you are really honest and brave when you make the affirmations.

Of course, you still have to do the footwork, and work at it, but its a very self-affirming exercise.

Ooookay, I've soapboxed enough.

When will your dissertation hell be over? I'm so excited for you have that under your belt, or behind you, or whatever saying says what I mean.

My diss proposal revisions are due Sunday night for another round of immediate feedback, but the final draft is due to the grad committee next Thursday, so that'll be that. It should pass after I do these revisions. And the diss itself is pretty much done (I think). So, soon!
