OH MY GOSH I've been following smittenkitchen for a couple years now and I love all of her recipes. I'm doing the Whole30 challenge right now so I can't eat it anymore, but you HAVE to make her SW BBQ pulled brisket. Oh, that pulled pork WILL happen. Thanks for the link. I totally enjoy her writing. I like how she obsesses. If I made pancakes and they weren't fantastic, I doubt it would niggle in the back of my brain to point that I'd make more a few days later. I think I've only made one thing so far, but she has a lot of jewish recipes that I'm nostalgic for, so I think I may explore those asap

Tastings DO sound fun, but I have 15 years clean. I was only ever a pot smoker, but for me, clean means no alcohol either. Because I am an addict, and it just doesn't matter what the substance is. I'm surprised we've never talked about it before. Dude. We've known each other on the interwebz for like... three years?!?!?! That's sort of amazing. :)
