Surely, surely, I have something interesting to share....
{a tumbleweed rolls slowly across the wasteland, followed by a long, low whistle}
Yup. I got nothin'.
1. Totally enjoying this blog: smittenkitchen WAY more than is appropriate for a food blog (oh god, I'm turning into my mother....{more silence} Eh. Maybe not. I'm at least 15% cooler.).
2. Took Luca up to the mountain on Saturday... {Tangent: I often look towards the mountain (Mt. Hood) and hear the words, "It's a strange thing to live with a mountain..." as if it were the beginning of a book. Which, if I wrote a book, would NOT have those words in them.} We caravaned with our neighbors, further fueling my Friends With The Neighbors fantasies (things are going well on that front), and giving me more time to make friends with my girl crush the mom (things not going so well on that front as, yes, we've been spending a lot of time together, but her pedestal keeps getting taller (and I stalk her for recipes which is just embarrassing)). Oh yeah, and Luca sorta liked the snow, maybe.
3. Mr. Ilke has been contracting at his dream job since October and this is his last week for a while. Looking forward to getting my husband (and his ability to Deal) back. I will miss the mulah. Ain't gunna lie.
4. Oooh, I've been reading some good Dramione. *Drool* In another testament to my possibly OCD-When-Under-Stress tendencies, I've begun reading through crack-broom's Draco/Hermione tag and reading the fics in order (skipping any I read recently or has content that I wouldn't enjoy, or *FUCKMEIFORGOTTOCHECK is a WIP (*idication of my dissapointment when I got 31 chapters into God of The Lost and found it was unfinished).
5. Work has slowed down which means that the project I do have are not getting done in a timely manner. It's illogical, but I suck like that.
6. I start 10k training at the end of January. A marathon was perhaps a bit too much to chew. Besides, I suspect, I'll be happier with mini-triathalons in the future. Fuck 26 miles. That just takes up too much time!
7. I'm going on a business trip next week. We landed an awesome gig and I'm off to tour a bunch of wineries and hang out in Sonoma for a few days. (Which will be interesting when I try to explain why I wont be doing any tastings. Haven't figured that one out yet.) And see my bestie who is 7 months preggers.
Okay, that's all I got.
