Ohhhh, cricket! I remember that idea. It all sounds lovely. I imagine you were being sarcastic when you said that a Vampire!Giles fic wouldn't be bleak, but I think a Vampy Giles humour fic would be out of this world. Probably only if you wrote it, though. If I wrote it there would be a lot of slapstick and multiple tasteless jokes about getting staked.

Sorry to hear about your burn, but I don't think I need to tell you my advice: self-medicate with alcohol. This is real grownup advice that is useful in most situations, and I know for a fact it's not the first time I've suggested it to you. Of course it probably won't help with the throwing up at work part... in case you needed a disclaimer with that. :D

Oh I wasn't being sarcastic. My take on vampire!Giles would have jokes and a happy ending. I'm perverse like that.

I think I probably had dehydration issues with this damn burn. So I'll knock on this round for alcohol. Sound practical advice I agree though.

Thank you. Yes I feel a lot better now. It will probably scar but those are the breaks.

Vampire!giles fic looks like being a lot of fun to write but I don't think I can finish it in time for end July. So maybe September or somesuch.

In happy news: I've finished my fic for June 1st! Yay! SoG will officially start on day one.
