Hi, I'm Hayley, I'm 21 and I live in a small town on the east coast of Australia. I posted my room last year
here, when I was living in London.
This is my door. My sister made the sign, out of balsar wood & material. It's nice. :)
What you see as soon as you open the door. You can see my bed, (my cat on my bed), my dresser, my window & my fairy lights.
This is the calendar my sister made for me (again, out of balsar wood). There's individual pieces for each month, and a new drawing, too. January is an old school Nintendo system, February is a quilt, March is a field of heart-shaped flowers, April is a girl in the rain, May is stepping stones, June is a tree, July is sheet music, August is a clothesline, September is a beaded necklace, October is ROCKTOBER, November is a house & December is a Christmas tree.
This is the wall as you turn to the right. There's my giant Australia poster, two Kurt Halsey posters, my bookcase, & a bird-house-esque shelves in the corner (I've hung heaps of scarfs on it. I've also got a pink princess phone on the top shelf of it.).
My sister also made these little letters on my bookcase. I came home from work one day and saw them there. Right before she told me me stole (and then lost) my shoes.
All of DVDs are in the top shelf of the bookcase, then I've got my books colour coordinated (I was bored at 3am one night), and then all my fandom-y books (Firefly, Serenity, & such), picture books, and NYLON magazines on the bottom shelf. I've also hung fairy lights (that my sister made into dragonflies/fireflies) onto the top shelf & normal fairy lights on the top of the bird-house & across the top of my window.
These are on the door to my wardrobe. The wooden one ont he left is supposed to be a Christmas tree ornament, and the one of the right is a gift from my friend Vhari. (She's written a letter on one side and my favourite lyrics on the other.) ♥
This is on the opposite wall to the bookcase. It's my dresser, and it's got a bunch of my junk on the top (nail polishes, photo of my Mum, Aunty & Pop, make-up, jewelry/keepsake box, giant letter H, mini-easel from my friend Anika that I haven't painted yet!) Above is similar to what I had in my room in London. I've got three strings running across my wall above my bed & dresser. Onto the string, I've clipped, using wooden clothes pegs, photos, posters, notes, pictures, drawings, quotes, necklaces, basically anything that I find interesting or pretty or intriguing. The only problem with it is that I can't rearrange my room in very many ways, (which I love doing) without destroying that wall & having to start all over again with it.
This is my fairy lights on. ♥
I hope you've liked this little tour. Comments are appreciated! ♥ Have a lovely day.
