I really love these two together, as friends or more-than-friends or anything, and you write both of them so well. You get right inside Gaila's head, and Spock through her eyes is so intensely recognizable. It's so rare to find ST fic these days, and your writing makes me miss it more than ever -- this was an unexpected delight for a Sunday afternoon!

(Did you ever settle on a park name? "Why are you carrying an umbrella?" she asks when she meets him at [[park name]]. She feels disappointed, but she can't pinpoint the reason why.)

Thank you so much, bb! Since my recipient never bothered to acknowledge this story, your enthusiastic feedback means a lot! And ugh, thanks for pointing out my typo...I really thought I'd reread before posting!

I love this. <3 Gaila/Spock is so strangely perfect, and I have a special soft spot for stories where Gaila comes into her own at the Academy. Just all of the hearts for you and for this!!!

Thank you! I've always loved Gaila and Spock together, although I've always written them as friends before this story. I'm really glad you enjoyed them as a couple :)

Wow! Great story. Not a pairing I'd normally believe because they're so different, but this is very well done. Gaila's POV is particularly insightful.

Thank you very much! I find them so interesting because they are different, but I also think they have a lot in common - namely that they are both living on a different planet in a different culutre. I'm glad you enjoyed the story!

This was very, very well written. Touching, sad, and almost like meditation in its calm flow. Perhaps it is my melancholy mood, but this moved me. Thank you.
