Darren Almond? You are KIDDING me. *chuckles* You must be as much of a fan of his work as I am. I think it's most likely to be Lambie or Starling. The token painter this year - Carnegie - doesn't impress me at all.
Also, is it just me, or do they always end up picking kind of boring token painters? They've been pretty good the past few years about not simply handing the prize over to a painter - Martin Creed and Grayson Perry immediately spring to mind. We'll just need to wait and see.
