Hee, not just you! He looked like Ben too. (Which I guess is uh, the same thing, but I remember Ben being in shadows for his episode.) Very cool lighting & close-ups in that scene.
both Alec and Ben had soft boyish lines to their faces -- not surprising, of course, considering Jensen's age at the time. and that's what made me sort of think I was projecting, because why would Dean look softer in a scene where he was doing such terrible things? but I feel he did.
Yes! It reminded me of the pilot ep where Sam and Dean are talking in the shadows -- where Sam talks about John giving him a gun when he's 9. Basically, the shadowing in this ep making him look softer, innocent, young, little boy lost and oh, it was much worse to see him do these things in the dark. It was creepy. Oh show with your cool cinematography.
Jensen was GORGEOUS in this episode. For me, during the torture scene, he looked reminiscent of season one - somehow very young. And then again when he was in the hospital bed, he's very pretty when he's all beat up.
I agree! Remember the early S1 eps and all the use of shadows? He looked so young and innocent there, which made the terrible things he did all the more creepy.
What's the ONE thing that Dean is a total expert about, knows top to bottom, and can try and stop? Sam.
I read that aloud, and regala_electra just jumped up and said "TELL HER I LOVE HER FOREVER!" and she is making victory arms in the living room and hitting the ceiling because she is a tall person.
I concur, but with slightly less ceiling damage. SLIGHTLY.
eeep, probably not -- I think I have some stuff to do on Sunday and I just watched all the eps in like 3 days so right now I don't think I can watch them all again in a row. but still, there's one more ep on Monday night, right, so maybe we can talk about it then? ♥
