• Yeah, so, I think Jensen looked his best this season in the episode, during the torturing scenes. *facepalm* I know, I know, but the lighting really worked. He looked like Alec in certain parts.


• Also, just as equally hotass -- Sam, how can you look so good and so evil at the same time? Agh, hand twist! And the "damnit!" and....AGH. SAM. DAMN YOOOU.


• Gasp, this episode felt like the first to focus more on other characters beside Sam and Dean! To which I say, bring it, because it was kinda cool! Oh Castiel, you with your trenchcoat of mystery. And Anna was pretty neat when she was back as an angel. Uriel was amazing as well, even if he's the funniest angel (hee!) and the bad guy.


• Deep meta and mythology thouuuughts. John not breaking, but Dean did. Dean's the first seal. Angels are switching sides. Sam's drinking demon blood. Epiiiic. Though it is sad to see Dean feeling all woe is me but Deaaan, you do realize you're picked because you being the only one to stop it -- what is 'it'? What's the ONE thing that Dean is a total expert about, knows top to bottom, and can try and stop? Sam. Oh yeah. Sam's the end game. Even though a lot of the stuff this season has focused on Dean, I think it's all going to come back to Sam and their relationship once again.
  
  Plus, we're reminded of how things are changing -- how the boys are now. Dean had said the things he's willing to do for John or Sam scare him, and Sam's taking that to a whole other level -- one where the road to Hell's paved with good intentions, yes, blah blah, but now Sam's strong enough that Dean feels his role isn't the same.
  
  They're too close and too apart at the same time. Push and pull that's just gonna end up bad either way, before it gets good. Yes, now I'm using too many metaphors but whatever, where's my evil Dean and evil Sam fic?


• No, seriously, where is it? Also, I thought Sam's eyes were going to turn black for a minute. I WANT MOAR GOOD OMENS IN THIS, ALL RIGHT.


• Is it odd that I think there's going to be bad before good and how S5's not going to be so dark and heavy and back to basics again? ...full circle! Or jumping the shark. Whichever, yo.
